Who We Are

Net Impact is an international nonprofit organization with a mission is to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

Essentially there are two organizations, Broad Net Impact, which is an independent chapter of Net Impact Central, and Net Impact Central that is based in San Francisco, California.

Broad Net Impact

Broad Net Impact is a student organization ran by Broad MBA students dedicated to the mission of social and environmental sustainability. We plan and implement projects based on the needs and goals of our school and the community, while promoting the mission and offerings of Net Impact Central.

Net Impact Central

Net Impact is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1993 for students and professionals interested in using business skills in support of various social and environmental causes. It serves both a professional organization and one of the largest student organizations among MBAs in the world. From its central office in San Francisco, the organization supports over 200 autonomous volunteer-run chapters and a membership base of over 10,000, with programs and networking events centered on topics such as corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability.

Spanning six continents, Net Impact’s membership makes up one of the most influential networks of MBAs, graduate students, and professionals in existence today. Net Impact members are current and emerging leaders in CSR, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability who are actively improving the world.

Our Board

Broad Net Impact’s board is made up of individuals that are committed to what Net Impact stands for: social and environmental sustainability. Every year a new board is elected to promote the mission of Net Impact and allow the Broad College of Business community ways to use their skills for the greater good in society.
